Abdu Tarabichi emailed me a link to the Domain Days Dubai event website. Domain Days Dubai is scheduled to be held November 1-2, 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah will play host to the two day domain industry event.
The general agenda outline was posted already, with individual panelists and keynotes to be added in at some point. While the primary focus of the event is domain names, I can see there are panels related to blockchain, web3, and digital assets. I know of a few domain investors who spend a considerable amount of time in Dubai, and I believe Dubai is known as a hub for the digital asset space.
I believe US citizens will need a visa to enter the UAE. According to the US State Department website, “A U.S. citizen with a regular passport may obtain a no fee visitor visa upon arrival,” for visits of 30 days or less.
Early bird tickets to the event are not yet available for purchase. It looks like there will be two levels of ticketing – Standard for $299 and VIP for $499.
Will there be BBQ roast pig pork and beer serve during the event? Do I have to wear a hijab to attend and do they allow Transgender/Gay/Queer domainers to attend? People need to know all these rules…before they book their flights.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Will there be camel rides?
Your comment which raises a number of important points that should indeed be highlighted for the avoidance of doubt.
You may be aware that in defiance of some grievous stereotypes Dubai is one of the most cosmopolitan spots on the planet and a genuine melting pot where people of all races, confessions, and cultures co-exist in the atmosphere of genuine peace, tolerance and mutual respect.
In appreciation of the unique local environment both Dubai residents and guests are expected to follow these simple yet most revered fundamentals.
Domain Days Dubai will welcome people of all culinary tastes, fashion styles and personal habits so long as they are professionals and the Names industry enthusiasts, and mature, intelligent, responsible and respectful visitors.
And you may be interested to know that hijab is just one of a great variety of styles – from the traditional Nepalese darula surawal, to Pakistani achkan sherwani, to the Philippino saya, to the today’s fad from Europe, to name a few, all adding nice touches and colors to the most vibrant and hospitable city, while everyone here will be happy to help you navigate the shortest cut to a pub. So, come and experience by yourself and you will not be disappointed, we promise.
