I want to pass along some NamesCon news to you this morning. Braden Pollock will be the moderator for several NamesCon panels next month in Las Vegas. Braden knows this business better than most, and I have heard that he has done a great job of panel moderation at other industry events.
According to Braden, “NamesCon is really shaping up to be a great conference. I feel honored to have been asked to moderate at the show. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone in Vegas next month.”
The panels will cover a variety of domain industry topics, including private equity, new gTLDs, domain name and IP law, aftermarket sales, and many other topics. NamesCon is split into different “tracks,” so Braden will not be moderating every panel. Check out the conference website for more details about the sessions, speakers, and panels.
Jothan Frakes, who is organizing the event with Richard Lau and Jodi Chamberlain commented, “Richard, Jodi and I are absolutely delighted to have Braden in the mix, as he is well known in the industry, and having seen him moderate panels over the course of the past 6 years, he’s certainly someone with the right mix of experience and personality to make the conference a great success.”
NamesCon is likely going to be the largest domain industry event in quite some time. Organizers have reported that over 300 people have already signed up to attend the conference, and I would anticipate that it will likely draw the targeted 400 attendees.
Registration is still open, with the ticket cost set at $399 until January 8. The inaugural event will be held at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas January 13-15, 2014.
