Video: How to Make Money Buying and Selling Domain Names

Buying domain names is one of the easiest things someone can do. Being able to profitably sell domain names can be an elusive task for some people. One of the great things about domain name investments is that there are many ways for people to make money from their domain names. Learning how to profitably sell domain names – either as a hobby or a full time profession – can be a time consuming and expensive endeavor.

GoDaddy just shared a video to offer some insight about profitably buying and selling domain names. The video is part of the GoDaddy’s Guides series called The Journey. I think the video offers some practical advice when buying domain names for investment purposes.

Although most of you would find this to be a beginner video, I am sure many readers have had friends or family members ask about how they can get invest in domain names. Instead of spending a lot of time trying to explain the basics, I think this video would be a good starting point. If they are still interested in learning more after watching the video, I would also direct them to NamePros and Domaining.com to get an even more comprehensive education.

It’s nice to see GoDaddy not only embracing domain investors but also encouraging people to learn more about how to get started.

Here’s the video:

  1. “either as a hobby or a full time profession – can be a time consuming and expensive endeavor.”

It is an easy peasy stress reliever hobby and it depends on how much money you want to spend.

      • You know me…all my domains are hand reg at cheapo prices($4.99) or the good old GD 99cent coupons and resell for $$$.

Best deals were bought 50+ 4L domains years ago, cheap at $10 a piece at NamePros from someone who called himself a Domain expert….now who is laughing all the way to the bank.
        Domains like gxnx.com,zmmr.com,wzwi.com….
        getting $$$$$$ offers.

  2. Damn, thank you Uncle Trump, my and many others too– investment portfolios are up 900%…

thank you Tesla, bought at $100 and now $400 and projected to be in the $$$$$$…

Who gives a sh**&it about that Impeachment crap!!

  3. First 25 or so seconds in ….. NO ! There are NOT sooooooooo many stories of people purchasing a domain for $8 and selling them for millions of dollars. There are stories of people selling domains for millions but let’s not make this seem like it’s an every day occurrence GD !
