NamesCon 2016 Pre-Registrations Pass the 100 Mark

Richard Lau and I have been emailing about NamesCon, and he told me that over 100 people have already registered for the 2016 conference. I presume the discounted $199 rate incentivized people to register early, and the reduced rate is still available until Sunday, March 1. The rate will continue to increase until the conference begins.

Richard shared a quote from Frank Schilling about attending and exhibiting at the upcoming NamesCon:

“When the first NamesCon launched in 2014 I knew right away that it would become the largest show of its kind.. In 2015 that thought was reaffirmed as NamesCon became the best domain name conference I had been to in nearly a decade. Waves of attendees, daily drop-ins by thought leaders (not counted in the attendance numbers) and real domainers sharing stories, learning, broadening their business horizons. NamesCon is “the” must-attend show in naming. 2016 will bring its biggest incarnation to date and Uniregistry will be exhibiting again.”

NamesCon will be taking place January 10 – January 13, 2016 at the Topicana Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. This past year, there were over 900 attendees at NamesCon, and I thought the conference was excellent. I don’t see any attendance projections on the website, but I would not be surprised if attendance surpasses 1,000 registered conference attendees.

I think next year’s conference is going to be particularly interesting because we’ll know more about new gTLD renewals, Google’s involvement in the domain space, and another year of sales data.

I am signed up to attend NamesCon, and now might be a good time for you to sign up, too.

I’m dragging my reluctant better half along — I signed him up, too.

It’s about time he learn what I’m up to.
