Michael Cyger Launches SEOBlog.com

SEO-BlogSearch engine optimization continues to be one of the most discussed topics online for web developers and publishers. Every second there is an average of 3.5 searches about the topic on Google, and there are over 3,000 books about SEO on Amazon. SEO is a booming business, and many millions of dollars are spent by companies annually.

Knowing how important SEO is, DomainSherpa’s Michael Cyger has launched a website on SEOBlog.com, and I wanted to share details about the domain name and the new site. I asked Michael about his plans for the website, and he shared some insight:

“The purpose of SEOBlog.com is to aggregate the best thought leadership from search engine optimization professionals. The New York Times uses the motto, ‘All the News That’s Fit to Print.’ We’ve taken a cue from them and are only including the best SEO blogs that are fit to reprint.

Yes, people can create a Twitter feed of their favorite blogs or receive emails from them all, but getting the best blogs in one place is how we’re adding value. SEOBlog.com saves members time, our most precious resource.”

Michael told me all blogs are curated, reviewed and approved by an SEOBlog.com editor. They also provide access to the best blogs in a variety of ways, one of which is surely easiest for each user:

In addition, they allow paid members to organize their bookmarks, add directory listings and receive discounts on software and events.

One thing I found to be very interesting is that SEOBlog.com offers something similar to what Domaining.com offers the domain industry, and that is intentional. Michael reached out to Francois (owner of Domaining.com) to discuss using some of the features that have become popular on Domaining.com, and Francois gave his blessing to put them into action in the SEO vertical.

Michael acquired SEOBlog.com in 2012 after acquiring a small package of SEO-related domain names. The domain name was originally registered in 2002. SEOBlog.com was built on the WordPress platform.

I wish Michael all the best with SEOBlog.com and recommend you check it out when you have a chance.
