DomainX 2015 is Sold Out

DomainX is taking place in Bangalore, India next week. The first DomainX event was held last year, and over 400 people attended. Deepak Daftari shared quite a bit of information in his conference recap, and it was clear that the event was a major success.

This year, the event was announced far in advance, and I heard that there was going to be a big audience. It seems that DomainX benefitted from the advanced notice, and the event has sold out, according to a tweet just posted by organizers.

From what I understand the domain market and interest in domain investing in India is growing rapidly. It looks like the organizers of DomainX have created an appealing agenda, and there is going to be a very large turnout.

I am hopeful that Deepak will once again share some insight about DomainX at its conclusion. It’s nice to see the Indian domain market growing.

First thing that the indians (domainers or not) may learn is that most aged .COM domain names are worth more than $100 ( that´s theyr maximum acquisition budget, ALWAYS ) !!!

Your comments about Indian Domainers are driven by ignorance, jealousy, racism or a combination of above ?

Most high value sales/purchases are covered by NDA. I hope you know that.

I know several Indian Domainers who regularly buy/sell in 6 figure $ amounts.

One major sale to an Indian not covered by NDA is for $ 500,000.

      I think $ half a million is more than $ 100.

      Don’t you think so ?

Domainers that lowball generally fall into 2 groups.

      1. Newbie. – He heard about people buying a $ 100k domain for $ 100. and flipping it for a premium price. He eventually learns that lowball offers of $ 100. are fruitless.

      2. Just plain lowballers. Their buying strategy – they play the numbers game. He figures if he offers $ 100 for 1,000 different premium domains. If he gets one or two takers he will make a huge, quick profit by flipping it.

As for the home country of the domainer.
Its back to the numbers game. There are more people in India and China than most other countries. Maybe, that is why it seems domain owners are getting more offers from Indian and Chinese domain buyers because there are more buyers than other countries.

Racism is an easy word to say but often blurted out in anger to replace words such as culture, behaviour, business practice and so on.

Perhaps Marian has received lots of $100 offers from Indians. Sometimes it’s just that simple. Perhaps better to apply Occam’s Razor before taking a pessimistic view.

We haven’t seen (m)any Indian(s) involved in high figure transaction(s). Correct me if I’m wrong.
