NameJet Reports Over $800k in Sales in January

NameJet reported its January sales numbers, and the company seems to have had a strong month. Only considering sales above $2,000, the company closed $836,000 in sales. With all of the other unreported sales, NameJet likely closed well into the 7 figures.

In January of 2012, the company reported just under $275,000 in sales above $2,000, so this is a marked improvement. It seems that most of the top sales this January were privately held domain names.

There were 5 sales last month of $50,000 or greater. LIU.com was the largest sale at $155,688. The domain name is currently parked at DomainNameSales, although I don’t know if the buyer kept the domain name parked or simply hasn’t changed the DNS yet. The Whois information remains private.

Listed below are the sales reported by the company last month above $2,000:

NameJet Records Best Month of 2013 in December

I received the NameJet sales report for December of 2013, and it appears that the company had its best month of the year. The company reported nearly $850,000 in total sales above $2,000 each. This would mark the best month of the year for NameJet, with the second highest month being April, when the company closed a bit over $700,000 in sales over $2,000.

In December, the top 5 highest reported sales were:

Recent Acquisitions

Although yesterday was probably the slowest day of the year for this website, today is probably going to be nearly as slow. I am sure many people are catching up on the work they missed to get things done before the end of the week (and end of the year), and others are spending time with their families or returning gifts.

With that said, I thought I would share 10 of my recent domain name acquisitions with you. As usual, the domain names mentioned below were bought in private or at NameJet. You are welcome to share some of your recent domain name acquisitions if you’d like.

Recent acquisitions:

Find Your Domain Auction on NameJet

NameJet and Find Your Domain distributed a press release this morning about some single word Chinese .com domain names that are coming up for auction on NameJet. Although many of the auctions have reserve prices, the auctions will likely net six figures in sales. Numeric domain names have done especially well because of the Chinese market, and it’s a market that obviously has money to spend on domain names.

In the press release, NameJet and FYD highlighted several of the Chinese domain names (like  xiao.com and liao.com), but there are several others that I think will do really well in addition to the names that were mentioned. Here are a handful of the domain names currently up for bid:

Find Your Domain Selling Great Names at NameJet

Find Your Domain (FYD) is once again selling some excellent inventory on NameJet, according to a press release the auction house distributed this morning. There are some very solid keyword domain names, in addition to three letter .com domain names that will be auctioned with “low or no reserve.” There are around 400 domain names coming up for auction.

In June of 2011 and after that, FindYourDomain.com listed another small portfolio of domain names up for sale on NameJet. The company previously sold NYE.com for $175,000, Aerospace.com for $160,200, HouseRentals.com for $135,800 and Copy.com for $101,300. Suffice to say, FYD has had considerable success using NameJet as an auction venue.

My top choices from the upcoming auctions include:

Vida.com Sells for $53,300 on NameJet

NameJet LogoThis past Friday, the Vida.com domain name sold on NameJet for $53,300. There were a total of 381 participants in the no reserve auction, and there were 431 bids placed.  I believe the winner may have been Media Options, but I won’t be able to confirm that until the name transfers upon payment to NameJet. Winning auctions over $5,000 require a wire transfer for payment.
