NameJet Records Best Month of 2013 in December

I received the NameJet sales report for December of 2013, and it appears that the company had its best month of the year. The company reported nearly $850,000 in total sales above $2,000 each. This would mark the best month of the year for NameJet, with the second highest month being April, when the company closed a bit over $700,000 in sales over $2,000.

In December, the top 5 highest reported sales were:

  • 5.co.uk – $67,611.00
  • xiaoxiao.com – $51,688.00
  • getcash.com – $33,901.00
  • xili.com – $32,500.00
  • persianrugs.com – $28,204.00

It appears that these top sales (except xiaoxiao.com)  were private sales and not sold via the expiry channel. In total, there were 14 domain names that were sold for more than $10,000. This doesn’t include any transactions where the buyer may have requested privacy.

According to my calculations, NameJet publicly reported just over $5.5 million in sales in 2013. This does not include any domain auctions that ended under $2,000, which is the vast majority of the company’s sales.

  1. To be honest, I think those are poor numbers for those domains, except for maybe xiaoxiao.com.

However, that’s what happens when you put premium domains into NameJet, meaning you get virtually no end user bidding, and this is the result.
