Sedo’s Perspective on What Works in SEO

I want to share a video that might be of interest to you. Jeremiah Johnston of Sedo participated on the “What Still Works in SEO” panel at SES Toronto in June of 2012. This interview with Jeremiah was done just after the panel ended, and it focused on the current value of domain names for search engine optimization.

The video has some interesting bits of information that I thought you might enjoy.

Do you agree with  Jeremiah? What are your thoughts on the value of domain names when it comes to current SEO

  1. I wonder how much things have changed with Google’s recent updates. I’ve heard domain names matter less these days but not sure.

  2. google probably count less the domains, however a nice domain its more credible and atractive to do business in internet it no the same business.com that business.me or allbusiness.com unlees for me.

  3. Good interview, Jeremiah was spot on in all his observations, both about domain values and about seo benefits.

More than just SEO, a great domain drives conversions, that is the great differentiator.

If you can take your 2% conversion rate and change it to 4% with a great domain, you’ve doubled your revenue, what is that worth to you?
