NamesCon was forced to make an adjustment to its schedule this year due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. NamesCon Europe, scheduled for August in Budapest, was cancelled, and the NamesCon Online event was successfully held in its place. With the Covid-19 coronavirus still infecting millions around the world, NamesCon has made some adjustments to its 2021 schedule of events.
This afternoon, conference organizers shared the dates and schedule for upcoming NamesCon events. I am told the email will be sent to people on the NamesCon mailing list sometime today:
- NamesCon Online 2021: January 27th-29th (virtual)
- NamesCon Europe 2021: July 15th-17th (In person in Budapest, Hungary)
- NamesCon Global 2021: Autumn, Hybrid (live/online in North America)
As you can see, there is one online-only event, one in-person event, and one hybrid event scheduled for 2021. I presume the in-person and hybrid event could be changed if there are travel bans or local regulations that prohibit conferences or other large gatherings.
You will note that the NamesCon Global event doesn’t have set dates yet, nor does it have a location yet. I am sure NamesCon will provide more details about its most popular annual conference event once those are finalized. It will be interesting to see how many people are willing to travel for a business conference in 2021.
When tickets become available to purchase, I will let you know.
I already know all I need to know about Domains, so it there any thing new that I need to know besides all it takes is MONEY to buy anything.

The online events are the way to go. The last one worked very well and likely had record attendance,
I think the Hungary one will likely run into issues. They’ll need a vaccine to be widely distributed before in person is viable.
