GoDaddy Coupon Code: 30% Off .CO Domain Name Renewal

Last month on DomainQuestions.com, someone asked if there were any coupon codes at GoDaddy for .CO domain name renewals. It took some time, but it appears that GoDaddy has activated a coupon code for domain owners to save 30% off the list price for .CO renewals.

I don’t know if or when this expires, nor do I know if there’s a limit on how many names can be renewed. Others have confirmed that this code works: gdz637cd

There is a lot of speculation that the .CO Registry will see a huge amount of dropped domain names when the first renewals begin sometime around July 19th. With good deals on renewals and transfers, I would imagine that there will be fewer dropping .CO domain names.

Personally, I believe there will be a very large number of dropping names, but I would bet that others will see many of these names and re-register them when they are able to do so. Mike Berkens recently discussed the .CO backorder reservation system in case you are interested in learning how these names can be re-purchased.

  1. 30% is not reason to renew for many guys.
I got many emails from godaddy with promo-code 20-30%
so I am not enthusiastic about that promotion.
Good promotion had 1and1.com -15 USD for .co renewal.

I agree with you that drop will be large but also I think good .co`s people will keep.
Most .co`s which people drop will be rubbish and no one register them again.

My advice to all who have .co`s.
Spend those last days doing good research what is really worth renewing.

  2. I still believe there are no good reasons to register a .co domain, except you invest in words which may gain interests in future days there in Colombia. Even if they would be for free, I wouldn’t register one.

    Ahoi!

  3. Didn’t work for me. Details say the code isn’t valid on “already discounted prices.” For me, I see regular .co renewals are “on sale” for $27.99 instead of $29.99. Thx, GoDaddy…

  4. unfortunately, this doesn’t work

and also is there a limit of only 5 .CO domains you can renew with

    and promo codes.

Is it true that you can’t use it if you have more than 5 domains to renew ?

  5. I have names like PokerChallenge.co and flyForFree.co as well as single words,- If you would like to buy my portfolio, I am relocating and selling 50 premium domains very inexpensively.
    Let me know. Thanks all
