I was sent an email earlier this week with some information about a domain investing event scheduled to take place in Paris, France this June. David Chelly, organizer of NDDCamp, told me the event is scheduled for June 26th, 2017 and will be held at the Paris School of Business.
I had not heard of the event prior to this morning’s email (nor do I know David), so here’s how it is described on the event website:
“NDDCamp is an event that bring together registrars, lawyers, domain names investors, SEO consultants and more generally professionals dealing with domain names. Its purpose is to promote the domain name best practices and apprehend the current key topics of the sector.”
The website also states that this is the third edition of this event, and the first time that it is not entirely targeting French-speaking domain investors. Sedo and AFNIC (the operator of the .FR ccTLD domain registry) are listed as sponsors of the event. In the email I was sent, David told me the event is “oriented towards sharing expertise rather than promoting services.”
If you are in the area and are interested in attending NDDCamp, you should be in touch with event organizers to find out more information about attending.
Many thanks Elliot for your article,
It describes perfectly the event. I would just add that the registration is free (lunch included) and that the level of the conferences and workshops is rather high. In France, nobody can make a living simply from buying and selling domain names, so the few players that are still in the game have had to develop elaborated strategies in terms of website automatization, SEO, domain name snap, law compliance, etc.
I forgot to say also that the event is co-organized by Philippe Franck, owner of Domainium.fr and an established expert of the domain name market in Europe.
I was at one of the domain events in Paris good few eyars back totally enjoyed the city and event. Looks intersting and since its also about developing out domains sounds good.
