Dave Evanson Brokering Sex.Club

This isn’t really domain investing “news” per se, but I saw the embedded tweet above from Sedo domain broker Dave Evanson, and I thought sharing it would be punny.

Yesterday, Sedo announced a .Club auction featuring 25 winter sports .Club domain names. It seems that Sedo is brokering more than just the 25 winter sports .Club domain names. Dave Evanson is currently brokering the Sex.Club new gTLD domain name.

When it comes to Dave Evanson, the .Club domain registry is certainly getting someone who is becoming well versed in the field. Despite a late start (Dave started out in 2010), over the last few years, Dave has made a name for himself as someone who tries very hard. He is especially known for being very quick, and he probably already has a solid list of potential end user buyers and sex club contacts.

The asking price for Sex.Club has not been made public, but if you happen to have an interest, I am sure Dave will be happy to chat with you about it.

  1. Incredible! You know sometimes I”ll submit a few domains that I have had parked with Sedo for a couple of years, not developed, and the answer is always the same “doesn’t meet our standards”ie no history. Some really great keyword domains too.NOW along comes a SEDO auction of ntld’s that the bloody ink hasn’t even dried on yet!Talk about self interest and double standards!Rant over, thanks.

  2. This one has to be worth 1/2 a Million easy, And with tens of thousands of sex clubs around the world who wouldn’t want to mortgage their club for this baby?, after all it does contain the word “Sex”, the perfect name to drawn in patrons to their club including the vice squad, But in the event sex.club doesn’t pan out, the poor girls are going to have to do more than just lap dances.

Or the most likely scenario is, a domainer will come along and buy it without understanding that most clubs are NOT multi million doller enterprises.

And if you thought ICANN and the registries of these GTLD’s are greedy SOB’s, you should take a closer look at Sedo, they are ALL part if it.
