We all know that parking revenue is down substantially from where it was a decade ago. There are still domain investors who make a considerable amount of money from parking their domain names. I am not one of those people, but I do make a tiny bit of incremental income from PPC revenue.
Today’s poll is meant to gauge how much of a role parking plays in the domain business in 2018. My guess is the vast majority of people who participate (myself included) will be in one of the two lowest brackets, but there are probably also a few who do exceptionally well even today.
Haven’t parked anything in many years. I am going to park them all again for a month or two just due to quite a few new acquisitions over the years to make sure no hidden gems with traffic worth keeping parked.
I used to make $1k a month in 2014 with parking now I am making less than a dollar.
As someone who is relatively new to domaining, I am curious: why did revenue decrease? Because there is less type-in traffic, or rather because each click pays less?
I am interested to know as well, but my guess is a combination of both.
Google getting smarter.
Plenty of adblocking software.
Mine was around 3k per month during 2000 to 2005 but now its less than 200 a month.
Wow… Those stats are looking interesting so far.
