Yesterday afternoon, Brandsight SVP Matt Serlin announced that his company is looking to hire a domain industry veteran in an account management role:
Brandsight is a corporate domain name management and advisory firm. The company manages the domain name portfolios of large companies like Ally Bank, Yeti, Weight Watchers (WW), Claire’s, and other large companies. The company also provides strategic advise to clients on their domain name portfolios.
I do not see a job posting on the company’s website or on LinkedIn, so I don’t have information beyond what Matt shared via LinkedIn. I presume candidates with account management experience in the domain industry would be welcome to connect directly with Matt to discuss the job opportunity.
Brandsight’s headquarters is in New York, but I believe at least some of the company’s employees work remotely.
“Sight” has the same pronunciation as “site”. A domain name advisory firm using the word “sight” in their brand name could be an indication that passing the radio test is not decisively important.
No – they own both Brandsight.com and Brandsite.com if there are any spelling issues. That was the smart thing to do.
I see. So securing all possible spellings if radio test is an issue.
They bought both domains
“Brandsight’s headquarters is in New York”
HQ is north of Albany, NY. I suspect not a lot of people want to move to that area. Plus, NY state is a very expensive tax state. If one would move there, the chances of finding another job in the area is low. I guess it boils down to – “show me the money”.
