Who is Your Favorite Account Manager

I’m going to give out an award honoring your favorite account manager, account executive, or account representative at a domain industry company. Please post your nomination in the comment section below, and I’ll post a poll early next week where you can vote for your favorite, with the winner receiving $500 cash from me. I’ll offer all the details in the post next week with the poll.

The person you nominate can work for a domain registrar, domain monetization company, aftermarket sales company, domain financing company, or other domain industry focused company. The person can not be the owner of the company, but he or she has to be someone with whom you work on a regular basis and who represents the company at events and/or handles accounts of domain investors.

There are a number of great account people that work with domain investors, and I want to honor the best of the best. One nomination per person.

  1. @ Morgan

One per person, and since Rich from Buy Domains was nominated already, I’ll mark yours as Brett from Godaddy. What is Brett’s last name. I assume SJ is referring to Brad Larson (correct me if I am wrong).

  2. I’ve never had an Account Rep worth mentioning. Most come and go. The ones that stay longer usually end up overloaded and don’t care about you. Can you add an option to vote “None”?

  3. OK I have to nominate 2:

Pete Davis @ GoDaddy. I have only had to call on him once, and I was VERY impressed. Got a phone call and email follow up within 24hours and inquire resolved.

    Cory Lamay at DomainHoldings.Com:
Im a small client to a company like Domain Holdings. But Cory resolved an issue I was having. Hand’s down this company wins for communicating with customers more then any company I have ever dealt with. Cory is a huge win for this DH team and I would recommend them based on communication alone as it is often lacking in the industry.

  4. Thanks for all the nominations. Once someone is nominated once, there isn’t a need to nominate them again 🙂 All eligible nominees will be added to the poll on Monday for the vote.

  5. Brad L. is certainly a great, knowledgeable rep/account manager at G-Daddy …as well is my highly dependable & sharp rep Russ “Carson” Dailey…. Brad always delivers on my stuff when Russ is unavailable or on vaca’ … Tess “Of the d’Urbervilles” Diaz is really good & conscientous also.

Also miss my ole’ Moniker rep Dapper Don Lyons who parted ways with Moniker on 12/30/11 .. exact same day as Bari M.

Wonder who Mr. Elliot “Ness” Silver’s pick is ???

  6. Currently, Christina Forker @ NameMedia. Definitely excels at her job and deserves promotion/award. If I won I’d split the $500 with her. Messed up IMHO to make $ off someone else’s name without sharing.

  7. Thanks for the clarification. I probably read the above too fast. Of course nomination still the same. Why isn’t there a nicest guy award or some sort embassador award at TRAFFIC coz you’d nail it every time.

  8. George Eblacker at Godaddy.com. He’s been really helpful when it’s came to strategic domain purchases. His advice has helped me tremendously in the domain name after market space. Thanks, George.

  9. Jacqueline D. with Dynadot.com.

Absolute best account rep. Always goes above and beyond to help if there are any problems and makes me feel extremely comfortable keeping my domains with the company.

Can’t explain how much I appreciate everything she has done for me. Thanks Jacqueline!

    Now for an attention grabber:

  10. If its valid worldwide Lucas Himschoot at Instra.com -> real pro, helpful and very nice person

(Instra.com alone also known as EuropeRegistry.com is the greatest rip-off I’ve ever had the misfortune of experiencing. It gives me bad feeling about Australia)

  11. Lots of people with whom I’ve worked with…
I know it’s too late but another two top notch persons are:
    Ryan Reely from Godaddy
    Glenda May from Moniker

Both have helped me several times in these last year.

  12. I see that it’s too late but having worked with Jon Grant, Jacob (Nima) NoJoumi, Justin Finkelstein, Mike and Greg Silvius at GoDaddy for many years and knowing them on a personal level, I really feel their names should at least be mentioned.

P.S. I thought I saw a pic of you with Nima in NYC?
