Thank You to Francois Carrillo

By now, you probably read the reports that Francois Carrillo sold Domaining.com. Firstly, congratulations to Francois on the sale. I presume he received a solid offer to close a deal, and it’s great to see someone with a good exit.

I also want to give a big “thank you” to Francois for building one of the most popular websites in our small business. Just about everyone who is active in the domain investment space reads Domaining.com. I am on Domaining.com many times a day.

I think that  everyone who is  associated with Domaining.com is better off as a result of their association. Domain industry bloggers and journalists receive a considerable amount of traffic from Domaining.com, and the Domaining.com  auidence can easily see and access news and articles about the business of domain names. It’s beneficial to all who use it.

Over the years, Francois has launched a variety of new products and services. He has never been afraid to try new things and launch new businesses. I admire him for his efforts.

I want to thank Francois for making it easier for people to find articles I wrote on my blog and for making it easier for me to find interesting articles written by others.

I look forward to reading about who bought Domaining.com and how we can work together.

Just FYI, I have not heard a confirmation about a sale. My article is based on the other reports, and even if Domaining.com isn’t sold for some reason, I appreciate what Francois has done.

  1. Thanks a lot for this nice post Elliot.

You were the second blogger to be present in domaining.com 7 or 8 years ago, the first was Rick Schwartz.

Domaining.com is just a home, you and the others voices of the domain industry are the ones that make this place so great to visit.

Who will have think after all these years you will continue having the daily inspiration to write domaining stories when so much domain bloggers stopped…

Thanks for your support all these years.

Regarding the sale, it is still not closed, I am still negociating but really expect/hope to announce a buyer at the end of the week.

  2. It’s a great domain but as far as content, how much value can a link page that directs to other link pages, that directs to another link page and yet another link page possibly have?

Probably the most non substance web site in the domain industry.
