Some Recent Acquisitions

It’s been a couple of months since I last shared a list of some of my company’s recent acquisitions, so I thought I would share them today. This isn’t a complete list of domain names I’ve acquired, but you can see that it is fairly diverse. The names listed below are all acquisitions and not hand registrations.

One other thing of note is that I still have only four new gTLD domain names: N.Holdings, N.Ventures, G.Holdings, and Silver.Ventures. I will probably buy a few more as new TLDs roll out, but there are none that have grabbed my attention enough to invest at this point.

I invite you to share some of the domain names you recently acquired if you would like. For the sake of keeping this clean and with fewer critical comments, I ask that you only post domain names you acquired rather than hand registered. This means no gTLD domain names. If people request it, perhaps I’ll invite you to share those in a later post.

Here are some of my recent domain name acquisitions that I haven’t sold yet:

  • LakeWinnipesaukee.com
  • SakeBar.com
  • EmployeeIncentives.com
  • TruckAccessories.com
  • BargainHunter.com
  • SportsLabels.com
  • PenalRecords.com
  • HEConsulting.com
  • InteriorPlanner.com

  1. Hi Elliott,
When you acquire domain names like these, do you contact the current owners and negotiate a price or are they names that have expired or dropped? And then do you just hold onto them and wait for offers or do you actively contact potential buyers? Many thanks.

  2. You must like employeeincentives(.)com, as you listed it twice. I did too and should have kept bidding! Love the names and find your acquisition posts to be very informative! Thanks for putting it out there. VinsDomains recently picked-up
    DrumMusic(.)com
    CapeCodMass(.)com and
    ComedyLegends(.)com

  3. Of the list above I like TruckAccessories.com the most.

    A few recent pickups…

    Kittens.TV
    Divertirse.net (to have fun; Spanish)
    MercadotecniaPorInternet.com (marketing via internet; Spanish)
    MercadoconVideos.com (marketing with videos; Spanish)

  4. I think BargainHunter.com and SakeBar.com are the 2 with the most potential in your list Elliot – nice purchases.

A lot of people have commented on Truck Accessories – my concern is just how many people will misspell the Accessories part!

    I have recently picked up:

    Collation.com
    AudioTestimonial.com
    AudioBiographies.com
    KeyGraphs.com

All are with the intention of developing, I have ideas for each – time and money allowing as is always the case!!!

  6. As always, some great acquisitions. I’m ashamed to admit that PenalRecords.com made me giggle.

We recently picked up the following pairs:

    TargetedDrug.com/TargetedDrugs.com
    DrugImplant.com/DrugImplants.com

  7. Just starting my taxes here in Toronto Canada, and man has it been a great year in Domaining. It has picked up huge! Anyways, my recent purchases for my company are:
    TitPhotos.com
    ColdandFluRemedy.com
    WearableMobilePhones.com

    And tons more…..

    Mike Maillet
    NetProfitMedia.com

  8. So much giddiness over TruckAccessories.com, but the real super domain that tops them all there is BargainHunter.com. TruckAccessories.com is still great though. I could see BargainHunter.com at or near the top of the weekly DNJ sales list one day, though six figures for Truck would also not surprise at all.

And I still want a thread for leasing. :-]

  9. TruckAccessories.com
    BargainHunter.com

I wouldn’t mind having these two in my portfolio, that’s for sure.

    Very nice pickups.

    • I agree John, I’ve never leased a domain myself, buyers often inquired about it but it just never happened, opting to purchase the name instead. If Elliot has some insight on leasing I’m sure it would be very beneficial to domainers, since most don’t where to start or know what to draft in a lease agreement.

    • Thanks for chiming in on that, Raider. It wouldn’t surprise me if Elliot has very little insight on leasing right now and that he wouldn’t be the least bit embarrassed to admit that, since that definitely does not appear to be “his thing”; but what he does have is this fabulous forum where I suspect it could be well covered by those who do have plenty of insight. Moreover, Elliot could even decide that maybe it’s time he did develop more interest in it and its potential, since he does not exactly seem to be opposed to optimizing legitimate options and opportunities.

Look at all these seemingly ridiculous dislike’s here on this. Are you surprised? I’m not the least bit surprised. My very distinct impression is that there are some elite few who are so selfish that they simply don’t want the kind of thread I’m talking about – the kind of thread where everyone is guided, advised, instructed and empowered to do a solid leasing business on their own, rather than have just the elite few who are already into it be the “only game in town” controlling the pie. There is one small group in particular where I did try to raise this very thing once at a different and well known blog, and the only result was exactly that – my attempts were simply steamrolled over in a really huge way by one of the players involved who some even suggested may have been posting on drugs even when I was thinking that but didn’t say anything. It would not be impossible to figure out where and what I’m alluding to, but I don’t want to name names because otherwise I’ve come to like the main player involved ironically. Everyone of us has flaws, however.

Ironically as well, the kind of thread I’m talking about could even be one where the already existing options get their due in terms of promotional mention.

But wait – there’s more!( 🙂 I love saying that.) More what? More candor and frankness from me. I.e., I’ve come to kind of like this Elliot Silver guy ( 😀 ) and think in a number of ways he sometimes tends to be a bit of sterling fellow (pun intended), especially when you consider certain others we can encounter in this field ( 😀 ), but in all candor I suspect he would be personally inclined to not want to upset the elite few who might be opposed to a nice comprehensive thread on leasing like this and would instead want or at least be very inclined to want to accommodate their wishes if that’s how they feel. I guess a good short way of putting that is “peer pressure,” among other things. To me that would not be good but rather something for which the silver polish would need to be pulled out, as I sometimes liked to do when I was just a young lad. Same would go if a like/dislike vote were taken on it – we know what a joke that is. So I guess you can call this last bonus section here both a bit of a tribute and a bit of a dare. 🙂

Did you see what I wrote in the “end user generosity” thread the other day? I’ve got a new domain suitor with a “BOD,” which I take to mean “board of directors,” and I’m thinking about replying with a leasing option included with a sales price range as well, so that is what got me (again, for the umpteenth time) thinking about and wishing the kind of thread about leasing I’m talking about were undertaken. Has it ever happened? Not that I’ve ever seen, though as I’ve already said I stopped reviewing the forums. Isn’t it way overdue? Shouldn’t there be a big body of online discussion tips, resources and info on leasing for the benefit of everyone exist already instead of just a Milky Way sized emphasis on sales, sales, sales? I think so…

      Cheers. 🙂

    • P.S. As for the other blog I alluded to and what I wrote here, here are some words of wisdom I would add:

Proverbs 27:6, which according to one translation I have read would be:

“Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.” 🙂
