Squadhelp is Reinvesting and So Am I

10

Squadhelp CEO Darpan Munjal shared a series of tweets about the growth of the platform. Darpan shared that revenue last month was higher than any other month and 60% higher than the prior month. Like other growing companies, Squadhelp continues to reinvest proceeds into the platform and marketing of the platform:

If You Want to See a Stampede, Look No Further Than This…

If you’re seeking engagement on Twitter in the domain name space, the best thing you can do is tell people you’re looking to buy a domain name and ask people to share their names. For a greater response, make the request somewhat vague, and there will be a stampede of domain name investors in your replies.

Peter Askew tipped me off to this domain-wanted post on Xwitter:

Nick Huber: “drop a little coin” for a Premium Domain Name

I do not know Nick Huber, but I see he has a large following on Twitter and frequently offers advice to startup founders and entrepreneurs. Over the weekend, Nick shared some advice about domain names:

While the “premium” term is highly subjective for domain names, particularly given the numbers he shares, I think he is offering good advice. Either start with a good domain name or upgrade when the business has enough profits to enable the acquisition.

Trademarkia Hiring Lead Developer for Domain Registrar Integration

Trademarkia is a website I use occasionally to perform trademark-related searches. This morning, I noticed a job listing the company posted on LinkedIn that could be of interest to someone with domain registrar expertise. Trademarkia posted a job listing for a Lead Developer for ICANN Domain Registrar Integration.

From what I gather, Trademarkia is looking to build an in-house domain name registrar, and the new hire will be the lead person for its development. Here’s an excerpt from the post that details the job description for this role:

SquadHelp Ultra Premium Marketplace Goes Live

7

The Ultra Premium Marketplace featuring top domain names listed for sale at Squadhelp is now live. Featured domain names on the marketplace include Jay.com, Onyx.com, Ladder.com, Excel.com, and others. Some of the domain names listed for sale on the Marketplace have buy it now prices and others invite offers. The Marketplace is being operated in partnership with Hilco Digital.

Based on a quick glance at listing pages, it appears they are displayed in similar fashion to other listings on Squadhelp. The major difference that can immediately be seen is the black background on UPM-listed domain names.

ROTD Auction Web3 Domain Names

4

According to a press release I received a moment ago, Right of the Dot is auctioning “Web3” domain names in partnership with Unstoppable Domains. The virtually-held live auction will take place on October 11, 2023 at 1pm ET. Bidding is now open on Bid.ROTD.com.

At the time of publication, there are 124 lots listed in the auction, but that could fluctuate. According to the press release, the “live online auction offers a unique opportunity to bid on never-before-released Unstoppable Web3 domains and buy highly sought-after domains from Unstoppable Whales — which are holders with over 500 domains in their inventory.”

The auction platform states that it is currently accepting bids, so interested parties may register to participate and begin bidding. I am not sure if there will be a silent auction following the live auction for auction lots that did not sell.

I can’t recall seeing another Web3 live domain name auction like this before, so it will be interesting to see the results.
