Elad Nof shared a screenshot that auction participants at NameJet and SnapNames should note:
Here we go again 🤦♂️ pic.twitter.com/jHZRlU7N9l

When you look at the title of this blog post, the spelling of this domain name coming up for auction is obvious. If you look at it in all lower case though, lnvestor could appear to be Investor. When browsing through auction lists quickly, I can imagine why someone might get confused. A quick glance along with tens of other bidders with backorders and others might follow suit.
A look at NameBio shows this domain name has sold before. In fact, it appears to have sold twice on NameJet for $7,250 – in 2022 and 2023:
According to Elad’s screenshot, it appears there are already many bidders who have placed at least the minimum bid amount to participate in this auction. My bet is at least some of those bidders had previously bid on the domain name and did not delete their backorders.
The auction order-by date is April 4th.
This is a good reminder to always double check the spelling of domain names you are considering.
So why are people bidding this name?
It is only money….and not mine
We all make mistakes, mistakes are the best life experiences
IMO the marketplaces have an obligation to flag such spellings. At least highlight them. But of course that means extra income for them.
A reminder to do your due diligence. I always copy and paste the spelled out domain (instead of typing it in) in google to see how it comes out.
