I will be changing hosting providers within the next 12 hours. I apologize in advance if any comments you make are missing between now and the hosting change. I don’t anticipate that there will be any issues, but I want to give you a head’s up in advance.
Thanks for understanding!
Leaving Liquidweb?
@ Scott
Yep… left them.
Looks like DNS has changed and the site is operational on the new DNS. Are you noticing any issues?
@Elliot
Mind letting us know why you are changing and where are you moving to ?
@ Elliot
I haven’t noticed any issues with your site.
Did you migrate to Godaddy’s hosting?
@ Scott
Yes, it looks like it should be migrated.
I’ve noticed more people complaining about Liquidweb’s customer service and uptime lately. I have a few sites hosted with them but fortunately I haven’t experienced any issues.
Godaddy is really pushing their new “Get A Website” and 4GH hosting services. I’m surprised it took them so long to focus on keeping their domain customers from using other hosting companies.
Elliot, are you using shared hosting for this blog or are you using a vps or a dedicated box?
@ Greg
Was using a VPS, now on Godaddys 4GH plan.
Can you tell me if this is the most recent post you see or if you see the two posts about NameJet and Juan Diego Calle?
@ Elliot
FYI, I see the two posts.
Are you using the “Ultimate 4GH” plan?
If so, I’m impressed it can handle your blog traffic. I thought you would need to continue with at least a VPS or dedicated server given the amount of pages the site has.
Don’t want to sound too negative but hosting with Godaddy’s 4GH plan is not a smart choice. IMO any decent VPS plan would of been a much smarter decision, heck my toaster oven can probably do a better job at it.
