The Chill.com domain name is used by a company called Chill Brands that sells CBD-infused products. Chill.com was reportedly acquired by the company for $1.6 million. The deal involved two payment installments of $800,000 so it could not be recorded as a sale until the final installment was made.
The final payment was made, according to a press release that was shared by George Kirikos:

In the press release, Callum Sommerton, CEO of Chill Brands, commented on the Chill.com domain name and why it is important to the company:
“I am pleased to have completed the acquisition of the Chill.com domain name. We are the proud owners of a highly brandable, premium domain asset reflective of a word that is pervasive in the everyday lives of consumers and is easy to say, spell, and remember. In an increasingly complex world, people everywhere are looking for ways to chill.
Those qualities are gold dust for marketers, and we intend to maximise the potential of the Chill.com domain by expanding and improving our brand which, in common with our consumers, should be bright, energetic and youthful.”
When Ron Jackson adds the sale of Chill.com to DNJournal, it will be the third largest publicly reported sale of 2022 behind the $3.8 million sale of IT.com and $1.8 million sale of Galaxy.com. The $1.6 million sale of Chill.com was added to Embrace.com’s list of recent one word .com domain name sales.
Good deal for the buyer. Nice name. Smart naming.
