The top publicly reported domain name sale of the day this past Saturday was the auction for ChefD.com. The domain name sold for $11,850, as reported in a tweet from NameBio on Sunday morning:

According to the WIPO UDRP database, a UDRP has been filed against JudyGarland.com and JudyGarland.net. The UDRP was filed by The Trustees of the Judy Garlands Heirs Trust. The case is WIPO Case D2019-0789. Judy Garland was an American actress who died in 1969. I think this UDRP has the potential to be interesting.
This week, Google announced a new gaming platform called Stadia. As I observed shortly after the news was announced, Google smartly acquired the brand match Stadia.com domain name in advance of the announcement. I did not notice other Stadia-related domain names registered by Google at the time I wrote my article, but the company appears to have registered many domain names in ccTLD and new gTLD extensions in the hours and days since. According to nTLDStats.com, there are more than 375,000 registered .App domain names. This makes .App the 12th largest new gTLD extension by volume. .App domain names became available to register and purchase in early May.
In a comment on Sunday, Snoopy, a veteran domain name investor, noted that there are only 14 publicly reported sales of .App domain names in Nambio. The largest sale in this group is the $15,000 sale of Dispatch.App. The smallest sales are $117 sales of River.App and QAR.App. The average sale price, based on the 14 publicly report .App sales, is $4,099.
A UDRP panel ruled that the CellGene.com UDRP was a case of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking. The UDRP was filed at the World Intellectual Property Organization, and it is case #D2018-2673. The UDRP was filed by a large publicly traded pharmaceutical company called Celgene.
SecureLock.com was the subject of a UDRP proceeding at the National Arbitration Forum (NAF). The decision was published over the weekend, and the three member panel found in favor of the domain registrant. In addition, the panel ruled that the case was brought in bad faith and “that reverse domain name hijacking has occurred.” The domain registrant will be able to retain the SecureLock.com domain name.
