The NamesCon live domain name auction will take place this afternoon at 4pm (Pacific) in the conference keynote hall. The live auction will be conducted by auctioneer Wayne Wheat, and online bidding will be done simultaneously. There are 132 domain name lots in the live auction.
The list of domain names in auction was just sent to me by Monte Cahn, CEO of Right of the Dot, the company that organized the auction. Monte told me there were over 112,400 domain names submitted to be a part of the auction. There are hundreds of domain names in the live and extended auction. Domain names that are not in the live auction as well as the domain names that do not meet reserve from the live auction will be available for bidding in the extended auction on NameJet.
