Yesterday, I shared some of the things I look at when evaluating expiring domain name auctions. I thought I would share 10 recent domain names I bought at expiry auction since the beginning of 2018. These are just a selection of the names I bought at auction, although the total is less than 50 year to date.
10 recent expiry auction purchases:
- FuelYourBusiness.com
- BusinessSupply.com
- AmericanAmbassador.com
- AmericanVentures.com
- InternetLiberty.com
- FlagBlankets.com
- TrainingStandards.com
- Supervisions.com
- BackyardFootball.com
- MaritimeLawAttorney.com
You are welcome to share some of your recent expired domain name purchases if you would like. Please refrain from making a sales pitch though.
Your buy quality is slipping
Maybe, but these are just expiry purchases and not private acquisitions.
Quality slipping & sales go up … hmmmm …
One of those domains should sell for $4K TO $5k in the next 6 months …
I am almost 100% sure that will cover the costs of ALL those including renewals for 3 or 4 years.
Keep sucking at quality and make money while others put people down.
i agree quality is slipping…
i dont like any of those domains…
dont know why you shared those on here…
These are the type of posts that I used to love reading on your blog years ago. It gives good insights.
last 6 months or so –
alpinehill.com
atlanticpark.com
boulderriver.com
campusridge.com
fuelbridge.com
harborstreet.com
libertycrest.com
quakerhills.com

A couple of those are really killer, worth more than I suspect you think yourself.
Nice to see some three worders there.
I’ve cut way back on GD expiring auctions, made only one this year and I was the lone bidder – wilkes-barre // com
20 years old, exact with hyphen, you can find a diamond in the rough at GD sometimes

Optimization.com was a great one that went higher than what I wanted it for.
Osteomyelitis.com was the one I wish I didn’t forget about. That went pretty cheap.
And agree with the first post. Your private purchases blow these away.
In my opinion, those are excellent acquisitions. No doubt profitable. Congrats Elliot.
Thanks… not sold yet so hold the congrats 🙂
Anytime I can sell my domains for just $5 more than I paid for, it is still a profit
It all depends how much you want for it and how long you willing to hold on to the domains…
The automated values of these domains is excellent. It is not easy to find names that appraise over 4k on the automated systems. Very nice.
And thanks for the link back to your evaluation methods. Very helpful.
FlagBlankets.com & BusinessSupply.com standout on that list. Bet Mike Mann could make no less than $10K per sell from your list. One that I caught on the GoDaddy.com expiry auction last week was .
Softwarely.com
I could see that being a nice brand name.
@Elliot
I think Softwarely.com is a soldi brand name.
I found a company in Poland using http://www.Softwarely.pl
So there is a market out there, we shall see what happens…
SaaS has killed Software. I question the marketability of this name as a brand name.
I have Squarely.com and it is my flagship
Receive lots of offers as high as 6 figures.
@Bull
I like that Squarely. Seems Silicon Valley likes those sort of names. For example, Grammarly and Bitly come to mind.
LeafMedicine
BooksOutOfPrint
CommerceCake
SproutPro
All are .com. Trying to buy less. Thoughts?
I think LeafMedicine.com is a solid brand name. I have no idea what you paid, but that looks like a winner.
Thanks Elliot, thought it sounded good. 🙂

AtlanticMoving.com

BlockchainFinance.com, seriously? Wow, that’s a nice one. Don’t get lowballed.
BalanceTransferCreditCards.com? Wow, one of the better high quality four word .coms I’ve seen in a while. See what I just posted here:

No, seriously, I said don’t get lowballed.

Given blockchain mania, I have BIN priced it for that one new-money buyer who has to have it for his next big project.
Last month, I sold a 5-word, 27-letter .com domain name: CarAccidentLawyerNearMe.com. High $XXX sale price. High ROI%. End user already has a lead gen site built on it.
Nice.

The name in your link is exceptional!
The website there less so.
