Diddy’s SeanJohn.com Domain Name Expires

I was looking at a list of domain names coming up for auction soon on NameJet, and I noticed a domain name that sounded familiar. According to its Network Solutions landing page, SeanJohn.com expired. Strangely, the messaging on the landing page says the domain name expired on May 11, 2021.

As you may know, Sean John was a fashion brand founded by musician and record producer Sean Combs – aka Diddy. Prior the the expiration of the domain name, FoxBusiness published an extensive article about the brand’s growth and ultimate downfall. Archive.org shows there has been a message on the landing page stating “I got my name back” since 2022.

I am sure Diddy has a lot going on these days, so perhaps the domain name renewal slipped through the cracks. Whatever the case may be, I think this would be a risky domain name to own given the branding – unless the buyer’s name is Sean John.
