10 Recent Hand Registrations

At the end of last year, one of the goals I set for 2015 was to hand register more domain names. Unfortunately, I’ve slacked a bit in that area. I am still actively buying domain names in private and via auction, but I haven’t registered as many domain names as I had hoped. Obviously there is still time for that.

I thought I would share a selection of ten hand registered domain names. To me, these are akin to lottery tickets, and they should not be used as guidance for your registrations. I have no idea if anyone will want to pay a premium for these domain names, but I figured they were worth a shot.

As you can see, the only non-.com domain name on this list is Elliot.Link. I shared my rationale for registering .Link domain names in a previous blog post. Additionally, I am not really keen on registering “trend” domain names, although some people might argue that cryptography / cryptocurrency is trendy. I do think that these names have meaning now and will continue to have meaning going forward.

You’ll notice all of my recent hand registered names are at Uniregistry. The company has been very supportive of this website, and I want to give my business to people who support me. I also like the fact that privacy is free and registration costs are competitive.

5 Recent Acquisitions

It’s been a while since I shared some of my company’s recent domain name acquisitions, so I thought I would share five from the last week or so. These five domain names were either bought privately or at NameJet.

I have been trying to buy more keyword .com domain names that could be used as brands. I also am also still buying meaningful keyword .com domain names.

Here are 5 very recent domain name acquisitions:

  • Graceful.com
  • Confederation.com
  • HostageNegotiator.com
  • Interdisciplinary.com
  • ObesityPrevention.com

10 Recent Domain Name Purchases & Acquisitions

It’s been a while since I’ve shared some of my recent domain name purchases, so I thought I would share a handful of them today. You are welcome to share some of your domain name acquisitions in the comment section if you’d like. This isn’t the appropriate place to list names for sale though 🙂

The 5 domain names below were either purchased in private or purchased at auction. Generally, I’ve been buying directly from domain owners or via NameJet. That hasn’t changed all that much.

My Recent Domain Name Acquisitions

It’s been a while since I published some of my recent domain name acquisitions, so I thought I would share some of them with you this morning. The domain names below are names I acquired either in private or via auction.

A couple of these pickups were a bit atypical for me. I generally stay away from “brandable” types of domain names, but I had an affinity for TravelAnywhere.com and iCustomize.com. With TravelAnywhere.com, I thought it would make the perfect home for a world travel website. With iCustomize.com, I thought it would be the perfect domain name for a website that has people make custom products. I don’t know if they’ll ever sell for big money, but I think they are both worth much more than I paid. As with everything, time will tell.

Some Recent Acquisitions

It’s been a couple of months since I last shared a list of some of my company’s recent acquisitions, so I thought I would share them today. This isn’t a complete list of domain names I’ve acquired, but you can see that it is fairly diverse. The names listed below are all acquisitions and not hand registrations.

One other thing of note is that I still have only four new gTLD domain names: N.Holdings, N.Ventures, G.Holdings, and Silver.Ventures. I will probably buy a few more as new TLDs roll out, but there are none that have grabbed my attention enough to invest at this point.

I invite you to share some of the domain names you recently acquired if you would like. For the sake of keeping this clean and with fewer critical comments, I ask that you only post domain names you acquired rather than hand registered. This means no gTLD domain names. If people request it, perhaps I’ll invite you to share those in a later post.

Here are some of my recent domain name acquisitions that I haven’t sold yet:

  • LakeWinnipesaukee.com
  • SakeBar.com
  • EmployeeIncentives.com
  • TruckAccessories.com
  • BargainHunter.com
  • SportsLabels.com
  • PenalRecords.com
  • HEConsulting.com
  • InteriorPlanner.com

Vote: Hand Registration Contest

The hand registration contest was held last week, and due to the holidays, only 7 domain investors were able to participate. Please review the 7 lists of 10 domain names each, and vote for the list you think is “best.” Although “best” is somewhat subjective, I would define “best” as the most valuable and saleable.

Voting is open through Friday, January 10 at around 11:00pm EST (or when I shut it down around then). I will announce the winner on Monday and will include a screenshot of the poll results for verification. There is no prize for this contest other than personal pride.

Your comments are welcome as well, so feel free to share why you voted for the list you think is best. The lists are below:
