I think it is expected that negotiating with a buyer or a seller is one of the most necessary aspects of domain investing. People have different negotiation strategies, and there are many factors that go into choosing the right strategy.

Selling Domain Names on Multiple Platforms

There are a number of websites that allow domain investors to list their domain names for sale. This morning, someone asked me about selling domain names on multiple platforms.

Kin Secured Kin.com via Microsoft

I saw a VentureBeat article shared via Twitter about a company called Kin announcing a $47 million round of funding. The company has now raised “over $60 million” in funding. After clicking through to the article, I could see that this insurance startup was using the Kin.com domain name.

Have an Escrow Backup Plan

A few weeks ago, I wrote about a change at Escrow.com that has implications for people living in or doing business with entities in Russia, Panama, and even in the US state of Alabama. In short, an American company can no longer use Escrow.com to buy or sell a domain name to a counterparty in Russia, Panama, Alabama, or elsewhere on the exclusion list. Because I use Escrow.com on many of my private sales, this could become problematic for me.

Jane.AI Rebrands as Capacity and Gets Capacity.com

I just saw a tweet from TechCrunch linking to an article announcing that a company called Capacity raised a $13.2 million in its Series B round of funding. In total, the company has raised $23.2 million in funding. The company, which was previously known as Jane.AI, recently secured the brand match Capacity.com domain name.

Hippo Insurance Secures Hippo.com

It looks like Hippo Insurance has secured the high value Hippo.com domain name from its longtime former registrant. If you visit Hippo.com today, you will be forwarded to MyHippo.com. The likely domain name acquisition was tweeted about by Jamie Zoch earlier this morning:
