Benefytt Technologies Inc. Talks About HealthInsurance.com

Over the weekend, George Kirikos tweeted about a major domain name acquisition that was reported in a SEC filing. Benefytt Technologies Inc., a company that until March 6, 2020 was called Health Insurance Innovations, reported a domain name acquisition in the amount of $8,133,000 in 2019. Unfortunately, the domain name that was reportedly acquired was not specifically identified by the company.

George tweeted about the domain name acquisition report and his belief that the domain name that was acquired was HealthInsurance.com:

Phenom.com Acquired by Phenom People Amid Rebrand

Domain broker James Booth has been operating his domain brokerage under the Phenom.com branding since mid-2019. About a month ago, I noticed that Phenom.com had begun forwarding to DomainBooth.com, and I privately learned that the domain name had been sold. At the time, I did not know who acquired the domain name, but I can now report that a HR company called Phenom People made the six figure acquisition.

In my morning Name Server Alert email from DomainTools, I saw the valuable Acoustic.com domain name had changed hands. Acoustic.com is now registered to International Business Machines Corporation (IBM). Although the domain name does not resolve to a website at the time of publication, I am sure the domain name will be used by the business currently operating on Acoustic.CO.

The launch of Acoustic was announced in a press release in June of 2019. Acoustic was a rebrand and independent launch of IBM’s Watson Marketing. Here’s an excerpt from the press release describing what Acoustic is:

IGTV.com Acquired by Instagram

In my DomainTools Registrant Monitor alert email this morning, I saw that IGTV.com has been acquired by Instagram. The domain name was appears to have been previously registered to an entity in California, and it had been parked using Sedo’s nameservers. Instagram is often referred to as “IG,” so the domain name acquisition makes sense. As of the time of publication, IGTV.com does not resolve to an operational website.

BettingTips.com Sold via Sedo for $150,000

Sedo hit the proverbial jackpot this week with the $150,000 sale of BettingTips.com. The sale was reported to me this afternoon in Sedo’s weekly public domain name sales report, and NameBio tweeted about the sale when it hit the Sedo RSS feed earlier this morning:
