According to NameBio, the ClintonKaine.com domain name has been sold via Flippa for $15,000. I reached out to the former owner of the domain name, and he confirmed that the domain name was sold via Flippa. Interestingly, he told me “[t]he Clinton campaign didn’t want it (they offered me $2000 on the phone).” Devoir Funches, the Flippa broker who helped sell the domain name, also confirmed the sale.

At the time of publication, the domain name is now privately registered. When I looked at the Whois information last night, it showed that it was registered to a Parscale Media. DomainTools has an archived Whois record from 8/12 reflecting this ownership information.

I sent an email to the listed domain registrant last night asking about the  plans for the CintonKaine.com domain name, and I also called this morning and followed up with a second email later on this afternoon. As of the time of publication, I have not heard back.

A Google search for Parscale  shows an article in the San Antonio Business Journal that appears  to connect  this registrant  with

Heritage Auctions Should Buy Heritage.com

HA.com LogoOne of my favorite listings on Flippa right now is Heritage.com. The domain name is being brokered by Chris Waters (of Domain Holdings) and it has a buy it now price of $300,000 with a $100,000 minimum offer. I think this is the perfect domain name for Heritage Auctions.

Heritage Auctions already has a fantastic domain name in HA.com. You can’t get shorter than HA.com, and it is certainly easy to remember. Heritage.com would also make a great name for Heritage Auctions, since that is a major part of their branding.

Telepathy Sells Podium.com

I spend a considerable amount of time doing Whois searches on great domain names. One company that comes up more than most is Telepathy. This morning, I noticed a Whois change on Podium.com, a domain name formerly owned by Telepathy and now registered privately. Podium.com was also recently transferred from Name.com to GoDaddy, which led me to believe that Nat Cohen’s company sold the domain name.

I reached out to Nat to see if he could share any details about Podium.com, and he referred me to Media Options‘ Andrew Rosener. Although neither would confirm the purchase price, Andrew confirmed that the domain name was sold. “We can’t comment on any details of the transaction, but Media Options brokered the sale of Podium.com in what would be one of the leading sales of the year if made public,” Andrew told me.

Dave Evanson Brokers $375k Sale of Broker.com

Broker.com has been sold and is now  in escrow at Sedo, according to the most recent Whois registration details at DomainTools:

Broker.com Whois

According to a tweet this morning from Sedo broker Dave Evanson, the domain name was brokered by him  for $375,000. The buyer of the domain name is unknown since the domain name is in an escrow account and the landing page forwards to a broker service page within Sedo’s website.

I looked through my email records, and it looks like Dave

Horizon Dairy Upgrades to Horizon.com

HorizonI am somewhat familiar with the Horizon brand since my kids take Horizon milk boxes to daycare a couple of times a week. During the course of some acquisition research, I noticed that a company called Science Horizons began forwarding Horizon.com to ScienceHorizons.net. When I saw this, I added the Horizon.com domain name to my DomainTools Whois monitor and kept an eye on it to see if any Whois changes transpired.

Within the last week or so, I noticed that Horizon.com is now the dairy’s website. A Google search shows that the company previously used HorizonDairy.com for its website, which now forwards to Horizon.com. The current registrant of Horizon.com is

YK.com Brokered by Larry Fischer

Last week, I saw a Tweet from Jamie Zoch who mentioned that YK.com has been sold:

Larry FischerThis afternoon, Larry Fischer from GetYourDomain.com confirmed that the domain name was sold and that his company brokered the deal. I was told that Larry’s company represented the former owner of the domain name and a China-based domain broker represented the buyer.

As I have come to expect from Larry, the purchase price will not be shared publicly. The only intel I was able to get from Larry is that YK.com “sold for slightly less than 7 figures to a Chinese group.” Unfortunately, this means the deal will not be listed among the year’s highest sales.

YK.com is not currently resolving, although some legacy subdomains within YK.com are still resolving for the time being. I am not sure if the domain name will be developed or if the acquisition was made purely as an investment. Whatever the case, this is another two letter .com domain name in the hands of a Chinese domain owner.
