Memorial Day Sunday Thoughts and Updates

0

It’s Memorial Day weekend here in the US, which is the unofficial start of the Summer. Last year, I decided that I would attend the Domaining Europe conference taking place right now in The Hague. As luck would have it, my brother is getting married this weekend, and I could not make the trip. Hopefully next year.

I want to share some domain industry thoughts and updates with you. As always, you are invited to share your own updates:

My wife is a superstar. Despite being a working professional, she pretty much runs the household. She also runs. In fact, tomorrow morning, she will be running the Boston Marathon. This will be her second marathon, and she has always wanted to run Boston. My wife  is running on behalf of  Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and she raised over $6,000 from friends and family. Needless to say, I am very proud of her.

Here are some domain industry updates and thoughts. Yours are also welcome in the comment section if you have anything you would like to share:

I started training for this year’s Pan-Mass Challenge last week. I ran 15 miles, and I plan to keep that up for the next month or so until I take my bicycle out for the Spring and Summer. I don’t love running or cycling in the cold, so I try and wait until the temperatures consistently reach the high 50s.

I am not sure what is going to be most difficult – riding 163 miles  on my bicycle or raising $10,000 for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.  You can help me with one of those things!

In the meantime, here are some domain industry thoughts and updates. You are invited to share your own thoughts and updates in the comment section:

Wishing those of you who celebrate a happy Easter today. You should really stay away from the auction venues today while you celebrate the holiday 🙂

Someone asked me about my favorite domain name  that I own. That would be pretty easy: Embrace.com. I don’t know why it is my favorite, but it is. Even though the domain name is developed, I receive offers  quite a bit. I think my top 3 favorite names right now (aside from the value) is: Embrace.com, Travels.com, and Exclaim.com.

Some tips, thoughts, and updates are shared below. I welcome your comments and updates as well.

I love this time of year. The snow is usually coming to an end for the season, and the weather is starting to get nicer. This week, we are expecting a couple of 60-70 degree days, and I can get back on my bicycle and begin training for the 2016 Pan-Mass Challenge (I am 20% of the way towards my fundraising goal!).

Here are some domain name industry thoughts and updates. You are welcome to share your own in the comment section. Enjoy your Sunday!
