BidenHarris.com & BidenWarren.com Are Both for Sale

A couple of days ago, the New York Post published an article that speculated about Joe Biden’s potential Vice Presidential nominee. The article surmised that the two most likely choices could be Senator Elizabeth Warren or Senator Kamala Harris because both of these US Senators spoke at the Texas Democratic Party’s state convention.

I was curious about who owns the domain names that could be most valuable should Joe Biden choose one of these US Senators as his running mate. From what I could tell, it appears that both BidenWarren.com and BidenHarris.com are available for sale.

More Companies Buying TLDs Than Domain Portfolios

In 2018, Afilias published a sponsored article on CircleID announcing that the company was looking to buy domain extensions at NamesCon. That was a couple of years ago, and the company is advertising on Domain Incite with a prominent banner that makes it clear the company is still seeking to acquire TLDs. That got me thinking about whether there are more companies looking to buy domain extensions or more companies looking to buy domain name portfolios.

Facebook Gets Novi.com but Not CatchUp.com

Facebook made a couple of product launch announcements today, and it looks like the company secured one domain name but not the other.

Facebook announced that it rebranded its Calibra digital wallet product as Novi. Not only did Facebook manage to acquire the brand match Novi.com domain name, but the company also secured the matching Twitter handle:

JC Penney Bankruptcy: What is Gift.com Worth?

Several major retail stores have filed for bankruptcy during the coronavirus. JC Penney also filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last week. This does not necessarily mean that the company is going to shutting down, but the company will likely close shops and will need to restructure if it wants to operate again.

I was curious to see what domain names JC Penney owns, and I found one that is not only valuable, but it also appears to be unused. In addition to the brand-associated JCP.com domain name that forwards to its website, JC Penney also owns Liz.com, Decree.com, and Gift.com. None of those domain names resolve for me right now, although it looks like Decree.com and Gift.com had been forwarding to the JC Penney website at some point.
