GJ.com on Auction at NameJet

The two letter GJ.com is now up for public auction on NameJet. At present, the high bid is $425,000 and the reserve price has not yet been met. There are 209 bidders involved in the auction, but since it is a public auction, other bidders may jump in and participate.

This is the third 2 letter .com domain name that has come up for auction at NameJet in the last couple of months. In early July, SX.com sold on NameJet for $555,050. In early August, XR.com went up for auction on NameJet, but the highest bid of $554,000 did not hit the (unknown) reserve price.

GJ.com is privately registered, so the current owner of the domain name is not known. A Google search for “GJ” shows quite a few companies that could use GJ.com for an upgrade.

Estibot pegs the value of GJ.com at $249,000, which is clearly far below its value. It appears that GJ.com is still listed for sale at Afternic for $4,995,000.

I will post an update if the auction meets its reserve price and if it sells. My guess is that it won’t hit the reserve, but LL.com domain names continue to trade at high prices (like the 7 figure sale of PX.com).
