Go Daddy has tackled what’s become the latest Internet meme – the “Harlem Shake.” Looking forward to seeing Name.com’s take on this.
Name.com Creates Go Daddy Parody Super Bowl Commercial
When it comes to Super Bowl commercials, there are two things I’ve come to expect. Go Daddy will create a funny or sexy commercial, and Name.com will follow suit with a parody or something funny of there own.
Go Daddy revealed its Super Bowl commercials ahead of the game, and Name.com just shared this funny video, which is a parody of the Bar Rafeli Go Daddy Super Bowl commercial. Enjoy!
Ladies of .ME Registry Visit Name.com… Hilarity Ensues
Two members of the team from the .ME Registry visited the Denver offices of Name.com, and of course they made a video. What else would you expect from Name.com? I really hope they’re able to keep their company culture.
Name.com Video Discusses Leveraging Synergy With Acquirer
The big news around the domain industry this morning is Demand Media’s acquisition of Denver-based domain registrar Name.com. In response to the acquisition, the folks at Name.com posted the humorous video above.
I want to wish the team at Name.com all the best with this acquisition. Not only has the company been supportive of my blog for a few years now, but they’ve also supported other domain industry blogs and tradeshows.
Bill Mushkin has put together a great team of individuals who really seem to care about company customers, and Name.com is one of the few companies in the space that seems to have a fun personality. Here’s hoping that doesn’t change with the new owners.
Congratulations to all involved in this deal.
Name.com: Almost NSFW for Cyber Monday
If you haven’t already, you should really check out the newest video from Name.com, advertising the company’s Cyber Monday deals. The humorous video is almost not safe for work 🙂
If you’d prefer to skip the video and check out the savings, you can use the promo code “CYBERFUNDAY” today to save 20% off some Name.com products including domain registrations, hosting, and PageZen websites. There are, of course, some terms and conditions, so check out their site for all the details.
Name.com Flash Sale Beta
I recently learned that Name.com is running a beta domain name Flash Sale portal. I am told the beta test began back in August, and private domain portfolios have been listed for sale. New domain names are listed every 15 minutes.
List prices range from $19.99-$1,000, and there are no specific categories of names that are offered. Buyers can browse the names and make purchases just like they would any other name on Name.com.
The company is open to expanding the flash sale platform to other domain sellers, interested parties can find out more by contacting support@name.com. They will be handling requests on a one-off basis. Sellers pay a 10% commission, and domain names must be registered at Name.com to be listed for sale.
The flash sales page and feed came as a spin off of Name.com’s Affordable Premium Domains page. The company is also using a special Twitter account to promote individual sales.
If you’ve used the flash sale portal before, I’d be interesting in hearing about your experience – both on the buy and sale side of the transaction.
