Extend Shortens its Domain Name by Buying Extend.com

Extend is a “well funded early stage startup,” according to a tweet from its founder and CEO Woody Levin. The San Francisco-based startup had been using the off-brand HelloExtend.com domain name for its website.

According to a tweet from its founder yesterday, the company has acquired its brand match Extend.com domain name:

Datasafe Rebrands as Destruction.com

A Boston-area company announced via press release that it was rebranding its business with a descriptive domain name. Datasafe Information Security, which was founded in 1990 and will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year, is rebranding as Destruction.com.

Since the company was founded, it’s primary focus of shredding documents has grown beyond paper shredding. The company now offers a variety of destruction services, including electronics, counterfeit or defective products, expired foods, and more. With its expanded focus, I think the Destruction.com branding is stronger and better describes its services.

Kin Secured Kin.com via Microsoft

I saw a VentureBeat article shared via Twitter about a company called Kin announcing a $47 million round of funding. The company has now raised “over $60 million” in funding. After clicking through to the article, I could see that this insurance startup was using the Kin.com domain name.

Jane.AI Rebrands as Capacity and Gets Capacity.com

I just saw a tweet from TechCrunch linking to an article announcing that a company called Capacity raised a $13.2 million in its Series B round of funding. In total, the company has raised $23.2 million in funding. The company, which was previously known as Jane.AI, recently secured the brand match Capacity.com domain name.

JetSuiteX Rebrands as JSX with JSX.com

Founded in 2016, JetSuiteX describes itself as an “affordable private-like air travel for the cost of an airline seat with free snacks, drinks, bags and business class legroom.” Earlier this month, the company announced a rebrand to JSX, and it looks like the company was able to secure the brand match JSX.com domain name in advance of the rebranding.

Here’s an excerpt from the press release announcing the rebrand:

A.Capital Doesn’t Own A.Capital

TechCrunch published an article about a venture capital firm’s aim to raise $140 million for its third investment fund. The firm is called A.Capital Partners. TechCrunch tweeted about the company and its news, and you can see how the company’s branding is displayed on social media:
