Domain name sales go unreported all the time, particularly at the highest levels. This afternoon, Andy Booth reported that he co-brokered the sale of Yolo.com for $3 million:
Wish there was more sales data out there on the high-end for premium one word .com.
Unfortunately 95% are under NDA and never get reported.
I can confirm that https://t.co/57FocjuQg2 sold for $3m (I was involved as a broker) in late 2021.@DNJournal

Andrew Rosener from Media Options shared Andy’s tweet and announced that he co-brokered the 2021 deal with Andy.
Yolo.com was acquired and is being used by a company that “sits at the convergence of dynamic sectors: gaming, fintech and blockchain.” Because of Whois privacy prior to the sale of Yolo.com, it is unknown who sold the domain name.
In reviewing the 2021 domain names sales chart at NameBio, the $3m sale of Yolo.com will rank as the fourth largest publicly reported domain name sale of the year. DNJournal would rank this the fifth largest publicly reported sale of the year, since DNJ has the $3.15 million sale of Christmas.com listed in its top five.
Of course, these charts only count domain name sales that are publicly reported, since the sale of Home.com likely would have been in the top five as well had the price been revealed.
