JG.com Bidding Passes $750k on NameJet

JG.com is currently up for auction on NameJet, and bidding has surpassed $750,000. There are currently 320 bids from 267 bidders, and the high bid stands at $751,000 with a little over one day remaining. The auction is a public auction, meaning anyone can participate in the auction.

NameJet has seen several two letter .com domain names come up for sale on the platform this year. Other sales and listings that didn’t meet reserve include the following LL.com domain names:

Assuming JG.com sells and closes, it will be the largest sale of the year for NameJet. According to DNJournal, the largest sale of the year for the auction platform was the aforementioned GJ.com auction. As of right now, the auction would sit in the 7th spot on the year to date sale chart, just behind the $800,000 sale of 345.com.

Since there is generally more bidding at the conclusion of NameJet auctions, I would not be surprised if the price rises.  As the JG.com auction comes to a close, I will be following it.

  1. That’s an impressive number of bidders for the price range. Two letter domains rank up there with pure generic keywords. Go.com goes directly to Disney. Putting a price on this would not be easy.

  2. JG.com is liquid at $1M – $1.4M right now so I expect this auction will get very close to that level if not above.

So far, NameJet has been selling LL.com domains at about 10% – 20% UNDER market prices though so it will be interesting to see if the market has caught that discrepancy and “fill the gap”.
