ICA Offers New Legal Benefit for Members

Earlier this afternoon, the Internet Commerce Association announced a new benefit for members of its trade organization. ICA members will receive a 15% discount on legal work performed by five participating domain industry attorneys. In addition to this discount, new ICA members also receive a $200 subsidy on the first $1,000 of legal work performed by one of these five attorneys.

The five attorneys who are currently participating in this special offer are as follows:

  • John Di Giacomo (Revision Legal)
  • Gerald Levine (Levine Samuel LLP)
  • Stevan Lieberman (Greenberg & Lieberman LLP)
  • Howard Neu (Law Offices of Howard N. Neu PA)
  • Jason Schaeffer (ESQwire)

People have been asking the ICA to assist with UDRP responses for quite some time, and I think this legal benefit will be helpful. Because it is not just limited to UDRP or domain name defense situations, ICA members will benefit as they could take advantage of this offer for a sales agreement or other legal consult. The value of the Legal Benefit could easily surpass the cost of an ICA membership, particularly the lower membership levels which begin at $300.

I would imagine the participating attorneys could see a boost in business as a result of the offer for ICA members.

The program description can be found on the ICA website, and it has information about participating and program limitations.
