2015 Blog & Corporate Insights

As I mentioned a couple of days ago, 2015 was a pretty good year for my business. I thought it would be interesting to share a bit of data from my blog and from my corporate website, which I use for inquiries and some landing pages.

The information shared below comes courtesy of the JetPack “annual report” that is provided to all website owners who have the JetPack plugin installed and activated. If you don’t have JetPack installed, I highly recommend it because of all the tools you can use (and I believe it is free).

I’ve been hearing a lot about Star Wars but I have no plans to see the movie. I’ve never really been into the science fiction movies and shows  like Star Wars, Star Trek… etc. Based on all the hype surrounding Star Wars, it seems like I’m in the minority.

Here are some of my domain industry thoughts, updates, and tips for you. I invite you to share your own updates if you have any.

Hope you are having a great weekend. There is less than one month until NamesCon. With the holidays coming up, it will be here before I know it. I have my conference ticket and airline tickets, but I totally forgot to book my hotel. I am still debating between staying at the Tropicana and Vdara or Cosmopolitan. That will be booked this week.

Here are some thoughts and updates for you. You are more than welcome to share your domain industry thoughts, tips, and updates in the comment section.

Have a great week!

I am hosting a bachelor party in Stowe, Vermont later on this winter. I am in the process of planning some fun things to do, and I am open to suggestions if you have any great ideas. I would love to do something with The Alchemist brewery (they brew their famous Heady Topper) if you have a connection there!

Here are some domain industry tips, thoughts, and updates. I invite you to share your thoughts and updates as well:

Last week I went shopping for a metal detector so I could search for screws and nails at the playground I helped build. The top Google result for me was MetalDetector.com, a website that sells metal detectors, and ironically, they had a shop within an hour from my home. I went to visit and bought a metal detector. I spoke with one of the owners, and I hope to share an interview soon!

Some Sunday Updates and Thoughts

This may come as a bit of a surprise to you, but I am not very handy. When something breaks or needs to be fixed, I call someone to do it for me. I’ve never been handy, and I don’t foresee myself becoming handy.

For the past week, I have been volunteering to build a community playground, which is being built from the ground up. I have been wheelbarrowing, shoveling and raking rocks and gravel, painting/staining some of the wood structure, helping build wood jigs, and doing a bunch of other odd jobs. Despite my sore muscles, it has been a ton of fun. I think I am going to try and find some other volunteer activities to do because the camaraderie has been great.

I want to share some thoughts and updates with you. As always, your thoughts are invited as well.
