A UDRP was filed against the generic SmartWallet.com domain name at the National Arbitration Forum. SmartWallet.com is domain name owned by Andy Booth and his company, Booth, Ltd. After being notified of the UDRP filing, Andy announced he was going to turn the tables and file a lawsuit in federal court.

It looks like someone has filed a UDRP against GameRoom.com, a domain name that is owned by Facebook. The UDRP was filed at the National Arbitration Forum (NAF), and it is case #1923613. I spotted the UDRP filing on UDRPSearch.com this afternoon, and I did a search of the NAF website to confirm that this is the domain name listed in the UDRP filing.
A UDRP was filed against the Tecme.com domain name, which was first registered in 2000 – more than twenty years ago. The complainant in the UDRP is a company called Tecme S.A., Argentina. The respondent is a person named Stephen Bougourd, and he represented himself in the UDRP proceeding. The WIPO panelist ruled on this dispute today, and it was ruled in favor of the registrant. In addition, the panelist ruled this was a case of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking (RDNH). As a result, Bougourd will retain the domain name.
I was looking through my morning DomainTools Registrant Alert email, and I saw an amusing domain name that caught my attention. I hate to toot Amazon’s horn, but the company is now the registrant of AmazonFarts.com, a domain name that was created in August of 2020.
The AmazonFarts.com domain name is currently registered at MarkMonitor, a brand protection service Amazon uses for many of its domain names. You can have a look at the current Whois record here to see that Amazon is the registrant of AmazonFarts.com:
A couple of weeks ago, I saw that Finwise.com was pending delete and would be auctioned. I liked the name because it was a mashup of two words – fin (for financial) and wise. FinWise seems like a pretty nice brand name. I did not backorder the domain name, though, because a search I did showed there is a bank called FinWise Bank, and I was concerned they could claim a right to this name, particularly because it would have a new registration date.
When I saw a UDRP filing against Stars.com at the National Arbitration Forum, I did a double take. Stars.com is clearly a valuable domain name, and the generic nature of Stars.com should make it entirely defensible. Attorney Stevan Lieberman represented the registrant, Leo Radvinsky / Cybertania Inc., in this proceeding, and the three member panel ruled in favor of the registrant. The UDRP decision was posted to the NAF website this morning.
The UDRP was filed by a company called Al-Dabbagh Group Holding Company, and the allegation in the complaint shows why it filed this UDRP:
