The monthly .AI expiry auction operated by the .AI registry ended yesterday. The top performing auction was Vision.ai, which sold for $100,000. There were 112 bids in the auction. In looking at the registry’s auction platform’s past sales, it looks like this is the largest .AI expiry auction, as well as its first 6 figure sale.
I was not following the auctions as they closed, but Steve Webb shared a screenshot of the final bid amount:

It looks like Namebio already indexed the top sales from the auction. The top 5 sales in this auction are listed below:
- Vision.ai – $100,000
- Trick.ai – $24,977
- Insure.ai – $24,700
- Dog.ai – $21,311
- Betty.ai – $20,088
I assume it will take some time for these sales to transact and close.
These .AI auctions were run on the registry’s auction platform as well as via Dynadot.
If we look back at stuff that’s happened before, it’s like, none of these cool things kept getting more and more awesome forever. It’s usually like this: something new pops up, everyone, especially those who start companies or invent stuff, gets super excited about it, it grows really fast like a rocket, and then bam! It just falls apart and exists in the shadow of newer, shinier objects.

One of many moronic comments. This is why most domainers fail.
I remember the days you were pumping nft’s and monkeys. Where’s that market now?
Vision.Ai at 100 K is a steal
