Domain Graduate Acquired by Epik

A little over ten years ago, Sean Stafford launched Domain Graduate, an educational resource to help people learn about the business of domain investing. I recall it being filled with good information that would be helpful to newcomers to learn about buying, monetizing, and selling domain names. It had a lot of good information to help people flatten the domain investing learning curve.

Up until recently, I don’t think Domain Graduate was regularly updated. I am sure the many of the topics were still relevant today, but much has changed in the business of domain investing since the book was first published. Some strategies that worked ten years ago wouldn’t make sense today, there are many new companies in the business and quite a few that have departed, and the overall business of domain investing has changed quite a bit.

Late last week, I received an email from Sean announcing that Domain Graduate was acquired by Epik. I recall seeing this announced in a NamePros thread, and Sean has let customers know about the acquisition and what it means for Domain Graduate.

Here’s the email I received from Sean:

As a previous purchaser or friend of my domaining handbook, Domain Graduate, I wanted to share with you some exciting news:

Epik.com has acquired the Domain Graduate book and brand!
I, along with Rob Monster (CEO of Epik), am excited to see Domain Graduate become part of one of the fastest growing domain companies in the world. So, what does the acquisition mean for Domain Graduate and for you?

This acquisition will allow the content of the book to be more frequently updated by an expanded team of experts from around the world. New contributions to the document will be made by numerous domain industry professionals which allows for further insight from a range of various domaining experts, all of which you have access to.

Long story short: updated content, more domaining professionals offering insights, and a product backed by one of the our industry’s most well known domain companies!

Feel free to check back frequently as we continue to update the book on a regular basis. And, until then….

Happy Domaining!

  1. I remenber when Rob Monster first entered this industry. He failed at first imo because he tried to be innovative on his own not listening to a majority in the industry. Firstly with his parked pages for domainers then his city project using new gtlds. BUT now he is an asset in the industry using his business skills, embracing and complimenting the knowledge and ideas that people in domaining have. Rob imo is now realized his calling and place absense of blind ignorance. If he stays his course i believe he will empower those in this industry to rise above the ceiling placed upon them by corps/gov. For the greater good.

P.s. your also a great asset elliot over the years for your contributions on your blog.
