DAN / Bodis Partnership Announced

This morning, Bodis made several announcements in an article on its blog. The company announced some domain name management improvements, announced the launch of its new Ads.com subsidiary, and it also announced a new partnership with DAN.com, an advertiser here.

I think the partnership with DAN is going to make an immediate impact for domain investors who use the Bodis parking service. Right now, the choice seems to be to either monetize a domain name with pay per click links with a “for sale” or “inquiry” link on the top of domain name or choose to use a “for sale” or “make offer” landing page in lieu of generating parking revenue. When the DAN and Bodis partnership integration is available, the DAN purchase or offer form is built right into Bodis parked pages.

To get an idea of how this looks, I shared a screenshot below of the live version example found on dan.kfx.com:

The example landing page only has the make offer option showing. I think we can safely assume people with buy it now prices for their domain names can have the buy now button showing instead. This would make it easy for buyers to purchase a domain name as they would on a normal DAN landing page. The difference, however, is the landing page will also be monetized with PPC links.

With the Bodis and DAN partnership, domain investors who earn PPC revenue from their domain names won’t have to choose between displaying PPC links or having a purchase form. Even though I am not a Bodis customer, I would be happy to give this a test on some of the domain names I have for sale that also earn pay per click revenue.
