Update: Traffic Appears to Have Recovered

After I rebranded my blog to DomainInvesting.com, there was a slight traffic loss, primarily due to a decrease in Google traffic. This was expected, and I took steps to mitigate the anticipated loss. Over the last couple of weeks, it appears that the traffic to DomainInvesting.com has recovered. In fact, it appears that traffic is higher than it was prior to the change.

I attribute the increase in traffic to the onsite optimization work I did with Everspark Interactive prior to the transition. I will discuss this further in a subsequent blog post as part of the series about the rebranding.

What To Expect From DomainInvesting.com

I’ve had a few discussions with readers and friends about the new branding of my blog, and I want to share with you what you can expect to find when you come here. Some of what I am sharing was mentioned in the article announcing the rebranding, and I discussed a bit more with Andrew Allemann.

As I mentioned in the press release announcing the news, there are no plans to change the daily operations of the website. Even though I rebranded and removed the personal branding, I don’t have plans to change the way I write or change the content. I believe people read the blog because I am candid about how I see things in this business, and I share personal anecdotes and experiences. That won’t

As you know by now, I am a big Red Sox fan. I had the privilege of going to Fenway Park for the first two Red Sox ALDS playoff games. The Red Sox won both games, and are ahead in the best of 5 series 2-0. When I was living in NYC and thought about living in Boston, going to Sox games was something I was very excited about. It’s been an exciting season.

It’s been a great season to be a Red Sox fan. When we were first considering a move from New York City to Boston, we had talked about being able to go to Fenway Park whenever we want. We’ve had the chance to go to a bunch of Sox games this season (tonight included), and we already have our playoff tickets.

Here are some tips, updates, and other notes. Hope you have a great weekend.

I love Labor Day weekend, but probably not for the same reason as most people. Most people probably enjoy the extra time off from work. I like it because it signifies the beginning of the end of the year. People seem to be more focused at the end of the year. It’s a good time to buy domain names from people who are looking to hit their yearly numbers.

Wishing you a nice long weekend. Be safe and have fun. Gear up for an exciting finish to 2013. I think it’s going to be superb.

Here are some updates, thoughts, and ideas.

If you’re a hockey fan, you’ve probably enjoyed the last week. Same goes if you’re a tennis fan, too. I happen to enjoy watching both (and playing tennis), and there’s been a lot of action on tv the couple of weeks with the NHL playoffs and the French Open.

It’s been a nice weekend so far, although I won’t bore you with the details. Here are a few Sunday updates for you.
