Sedo’s Great Domains monthly auction ended this afternoon, and there 21 domain names that sold in the auction. The largest sale of the month was Upgrades.com, which closed at $32,000. I was a bidder in the auction, although I did not win it. DNE.com was the next highest sale, closing at $26,666. This was followed by two other three letter .com domain names – HVW.com and IYW.com.
Poll: Will NorthDakota.com Sell in Auction?
About a week ago, I noticed that NorthDakota.com was coming up for auction in Sedo’s Great Domains auction. It caught my eye because US state .com domain names do not come on the market all that often, and I think the reserve price range of $50,000 – $99,999 seems pretty reasonable for this domain name. It also caught my attention because I remembered that Ron Jackson wrote an article about its acquisition.
The auction just started and there have not been any bids placed yet. I am curious if readers think the domain name will sell:
Sedo Announces New Sales Landers

Sedo customers who use the platform’s domain name sales landing pages will have a new “buy it now” landing page design. The redesigned landing page can be seen by visiting https://sedo.com/search/details/?domain=hium.com&origin=sales_lander
The company shared the new design as well as its rationale for the new design in an email I received this morning:
Sedo’s .UK Auction Results
On the heels of its auction last month that resulted in the sale of 240 .UK domain names, Sedo held another .UK domain auction that closed today. This auction saw 68 domain names sell for 28,621 GBP, which is just shy of $35,000 USD.
The auction just ended this afternoon, so the sales are not yet closed. Once the buyers pay and the domain names are successfully transferred, Sedo will publicly report these sales. This should be considered tentative until Sedo reports them officially.

5x Flip for EXL.com at Sedo
Earlier this year at the end of March, EXL.com sold via Sedo for just $10,000, as reported by NameBio. I would say this is probably one of the best buys on a publicly reported domain name sale so far this year. I think most serious domain investors would have been happy to acquire that domain name for just $10k.
This afternoon, Sedo released its top weekly domain name sales, and EXL.com was the top public domain name sale of the week. EXL.com sold for $50,000 this past week. A 5x ROI (less Sedo’s commission) is pretty solid in such a short period of time.
RX.com Acquired by Brent Oxley for $1m
Last week, I reported that RX.com was sold via Sedo for $1 million, in a deal brokered by Dave Evanson. It stands as the third largest public domain name sale of the year (to date). In this morning’s Registrant Alert email from DomainTools, it was revealed that Texas entrepreneur and domain investor Brent Oxley was the buyer of RX.com after it moved out of Sedo’s domain name transfer account.
