Once again this year, John Berryhill and I are registered to ride in the 2020 Pan-Mass Challenge to raise money and awareness for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Dana-Farber is one of the leading cancer organizations in the world, and we are happy to support their mission of providing exceptional cancer treatment and completing advanced cancer research. Since the start of the Pan-Mass Challenge ride in 1980, the PMC has raised $717 million in funding for Dana-Farber and its Jimmy Fund.

Obviously, the circumstances of the ride are tentative due to the uncertainty of whether it will be possible this year to assemble the rolling army of nearly 7,000 PMC riders expected.

There are thousands of people from throughout the world who invest in domain names. The majority of these people consider their domain investments to be a hobby rather than a full time profession. Domain investors work in various fields and professions, and there are many investors who are helping others as the coronavirus outbreak expands.

Among the domain investors ranks, I know there are doctors, nurses, fire fighters, police officers, members of the armed services, paramedics, scientists, farmers, grocery store employees, drivers, sanitation employees, janitors, hospital administrators, and many other professions who are on the front lines helping people heal or helping people survive.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist Donna Mahony with upcoming medical and travel expenses associated with the treatment of Pulmonary Hypertension. Donna is a long time domain industry leader who is most known for creating and operating Domain Boardroom. The campaign has a fundraising goal of $7,500, and about $2,000 has been raised so far.

With support from friends and colleagues in the domain industry, my 2019 Pan-Mass Challenge fundraiser passed the $7,500 mark this morning. All of the money raised goes to the life saving work at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the most important cancer research and treatment organizations in the world.

For the last couple of months, I have been training for my 161-mile, 2-day PMC bike ride. On August 3rd, John Berryhill and I will leave from Babson College in Wellesley, ride 78 miles to Mass Maritime Academy, and then ride the remaining 83 miles on August 4th. The ride is not easy (especially with the Summer-time heat/humidity and occasional torrential downpours), but it is made easier because of the support we have been receiving from friends and colleagues like you.

I am really excited to share the final design for the 2019 Pan-Mass Challenge jersey that John Berryhill and I will wear when we cross the finish line and on our July training rides.
