2869.com Deletes and Will Likely Go To Auction

2869-com-domain

It looks like the valuable 2869.com domain name expired and was deleted. Depending on which drop catching service catches this domain name, it will likely go to auction sometime this afternoon.

I had a look at the pre-orders at NameJet, and there are currently 66 bids with a high bid of $6,700. Because it is a pending delete auction NameJet and Snapnames will team up and bidding can be done on either platform. DropCatch.com, Pheenix, and other drop catch auction services will also be vying for this domain name when it becomes available to snag. People interested in bidding on the domain name should backorder it at their favorite back order auction platform within the next couple of hours or so (at the time of publication).

The domain name appears to have been owned by a Japanese entity prior to its deletion. Archive.org shows what appears to be a lock-related website on the domain name at some point prior to its deletion. I have no idea  why the domain name was not renewed and went through the deletion process.

Estibot values this domain name at $33,000. With a current starting bid of $6,700 already on NameJet,  it is possible that this domain name could hit its Estibot value. NameBio shows a pretty wide range in sale prices for NNNN.com domain names. I don’t know enough about this market to guess the sale price though. I’ll share an update of the sale price if it goes to auction and I am able to follow along.
