“Yikes” : GoDaddy Login Error (Updated)

If you have been trying to log in to your GoDaddy account this afternoon (or morning) and saw an error message, it’s not just you. When I tried to log in to my GoDaddy Auctions account on my desktop this afternoon, I was shown this error message: “Yikes! Something went wrong. Please, try again later.”

Judging by the number of comments about this error on Twitter, it seems like it is a fairly widespread issue. I spoke with someone from GoDaddy, and he let me know the company knows about the issue and it is being worked on as we speak.

Evidently, some people are still able to access their GoDaddy Auctions accounts (perhaps using the GoDaddy Investor app or via API bidding) because I was just outbid on an auction a moment ago.

I do not have an ETA for when this issue will be fixed, but the company is aware of the problem and is working on it.

GoDaddy’s Support team on Twitter confirmed the issue, and their status page will be updated once it is fixed:

Update: It’s 3:06pm Eastern and I was able to log in to my account.

  1. Omg yes, this has been driving me insane all day!!!! Surprised no one else has said anything. Can’t login anywhere, tried multiple browsers 🙁

  2. When trying to log into my GoDaddy account, I encountered this issue with the exact same error message of “Yikes! Something went wrong…..” on one PC and one laptop all located within the same room in my house. I am using Chrome as a browser on all of these computers. I then tried using Microsoft Edge as a browser and received the same error message. However, in the same room a different PC was able to log into my GoDaddy email account using the same usual method with Chrome. Other laptops in other rooms can all log into my GoDaddy email account using Chrome. I am using Windows Defender security, nothing special. Since this happened about 2 weeks ago I did a system restore back to that time period but that did not change the problem.

Is this a search engine issue if using DuckDuckGo ? I do not have the adblocker on or other cookies blocking on.
