A Few Website Updates

I want to share a few important DomainInvesting.com updates with you.

I decided I will write a series of articles discussing all of the changes and thoughts that went into it as I transitioned from ElliotsBlog.com to DomainInvesting.com. My hope is to begin posting the series later on this week, and new articles in the series will be posted subsequent to the first post.

There are still some things being worked out and here are a few updates:

1) Although I don’t plan on having many contributors for the time being, always look to the top byline to see who authored the post. In addition, you’ll see author information in the About the Author box below each post. It will almost exclusively be me for the foreseeable future, but it’s always good to start looking for that information to avoid confusion.

2) The website is in the process of being upgraded to a responsive-like theme. Tia told me I should call it more of a fluid theme since it’s not entirely responsive, but that should be live within a week or so. I am hoping there won’t be downtime, but please excuse any errors in the meantime. If you happen to notice something that looks funky, please let me know. Error reports are greatly appreciated.

3) Looks like traffic is back to where it was before the changeover, and perhaps it’s even better than before. I compared Google referral traffic for the same day of the week for a few weeks prior to the change to last week’s referrals, and traffic is up significantly on several of the dates and either equal or a bit lower on other days. This was a big concern of mine, and it appears to have dropped off for just a couple of weeks. As I will explain in a couple of parts in the series, the extensive planning and execution seems to have paid off.

Again, thank you to all of you for your support and assistance!
