I was doing some domain name acquisition research yesterday evening when something caught me off guard. When I visited the high value Etch.com domain name to see how/if it was being used, I was surprised about where the domain name took me.
Instead of being owned by a startup or established business with the “Etch” branding, I was forwarded to DollyChildrens.org, the website of Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital.
Sadly, legendary singer Dolly Parton passed away yesterday, as noted on her X account:
Global icon and humanitarian, Dolly Parton, known to the world as a beloved singer, songwriter, philanthropist, actress, playwright, and author died peacefully today in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 80 years old.

Using DomainTools and its Whois History tool, I can see why DPCH uses Etch.com. The Whois record for Etch.com shows the domain name has been long registered to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. In fact, the earliest historic Whois record for Etch.com is from 2001, and the domain name was registered to the hospital at that time. Etch.com was created in 1994.
ETCH announced the rebrand to Dolly Parton Childrens Hospital earlier this year, which is why this exceptional domain name is being used as a forwarder. Etch.com is a valuable domain name, but I don’t know if the hospital would ever consider selling the asset.
RIP Dolly Parton.

Love this, Elliot Silver – great find! 🙌 RIP, Dolly. 🙏💗

For those in the domain investor/domaining community who are also genuine truth seekers, even if they’re mostly quiet about it:
You are doubtless familiar with how many have been calling attention to the issue of Dolly Parton and the (fake/pseudo/deadly/harmful) covid “vaccine.”
Yes, it probably killed her through whatever officially and immediately/directly killed her now.
However, although I’m not as knowledgeable about her involvement as doubtless most, nonetheless I have seen one perspective which I feel may be the one to really bear in mind.
That being – that rather than villainizing her over that, it may possibly be best and truest to consider that she was simply wickedly used herself for that agenda, not that she was so personally culpable.
As for you, Elliot – there is no time left in this life to not just be direct and avoid time wasting beating around the bush. As you may recall, over the years I have sometimes stated that you seem a bit too friendly with “establishment.” This sad death of Dolly Parton and your post reminds me of how you have mentioned many times that your wife is a doctor. Putting two and two together, I’m inclined to guess that’s it’s very possible that you and your family have fallen victim hook, line and sinker to the “vax” agenda too. The good and positive surprise and exception would be if you were not. But even if you were, now that the public has been further betrayed about the matter, I most certainly hope you will avoid the influence and pressure to conform and take any of the “boosters,” and any of the now extremely controversial (and evil) MMR flu or other (fake) “vaccines which are being pushed full steam ahead.
There is much to learn about the truth of these matters on platforms where there is still some free speech left (despite issues there too). If you have been relying on mainstream official “news” and narratives, however, then you are in deep trouble. Deep deep trouble.
“how you have mentioned many times that your wife is a doctor”
Where have I mentioned this?
The only time I see my wife and doctor mentioned in one of my blog posts is from a commenter named John. https://domaininvesting.com/unr-auction-generates-more-than-40-million-usd/#comment-90939
Hint: my wife is *not* a medical doctor. She does have a doctorate degree, but it is neither medical nor did she attend medical school.
Lol. Oh please, Elliot. Okay, so there has been a little confusion over what “Dr. Karen Silver” means then. No harm, no foul.
“Elliot Silver’s wife, Karen, is a clinical psychologist. When Elliot interviewed her on his blog in 2008, she was in graduate school pursuing her degree in clinical psychology. During the interview, he jokingly noted that if she weren’t studying psychology, she could easily become a domain investor. When asked which personal domain she would want to own, she even mentioned ClinicalPsychologists.com or DrKarenSilver.com.This explains where the “doctor” confusion likely comes from: while she is not a medical doctor (physician), she holds a doctorate in psychology (such as a Psy.D. or Ph.D.) as a practicing clinical psychologist.”
I trust that is accurate enough despite how AI can nonetheless be fallible and less than perfect sometimes.
And it looks like she went with DrKarenSilver.com after all, but at least it’s clear what kind of “Doctor” she is there.
That out of the way, what I said still applies: I have a hunch you and your family fell victim to the covid/”vax” agenda. Just a hunch, but not only could it turn out to not be so after all, I even hope the hunch turns out not so. That, as I said, would be a good and positive surprise.
But no matter how good and positive that would be, I frankly also doubt very much you would admit it and be explicit if it is not so, and if you and yours would not take the other new (pseudo) “vaxes” now or going forward. If you were willing to say explicitly and completely on all points, that would also be a welcome surprise.
Since you mention it and ask. Without actually addressing the critical larger point. 😉
I don’t care at all about the point you were trying to make. Just clarifying that my wife is not a medical doctor since you said that I mentioned that many times. Funny that you had to go all the way back to a post from 2008 to try and prove your point.
The topic of my blog is domain names and I have absolutely no interest in talking to any random Internet people about anything else. I am sure there are plenty of other places for you to share your thoughts and opinions about everything else.
On a sidenote, it was WordPress that marked your initial comment as spam.
I replied just now but it’s not appearing, shocked…
